Patna: Madhubani, globally known for its rich cultural heritage and traditional art, is now emerging as a new industrial hub with the launch of a large-scale manufacturing unit by Saavi Global Fashion Private Limited. The newly inaugurated textile and leather facility signals a shift in Bihar’s economic landscape, blending tradition with modern industry.
₹300 Crore Investment Boosts Industrial Growth
The state-of-the-art unit has been established with an investment of approximately ₹300 crore in the industrial area of Pandaul, spread across 13.27 acres, including 6.65 acres of constructed space.
The facility will manufacture:
- Textile garments
- Leather products
- Footwear
These products are expected to cater to both domestic demand and strengthen Bihar’s position as a competitive manufacturing destination at the national level.

Strengthening ‘Made in Bihar’ Brand Identity
According to Kundan Kumar, Secretary of the Industries Department and Managing Director of BIADA and IDA, this project is a significant step toward elevating the ‘Made in Bihar’ brand.
He emphasized that the Bihar government is actively:

- Improving infrastructure
- Ensuring faster approvals for investments

Employment Generation for 12,000 People
One of the most impactful aspects of this project is its employment potential. Once fully operational, the unit is expected to generate jobs for nearly 12,000 people.
