Chennai: In a significant administrative reshuffle, senior IPS officer A. Amalraj (1996 batch) has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Greater Chennai Police, replacing Abhin Dinesh Modak. Abhin Dinesh Modak Moves to CB-CID
Outgoing Chennai Police Commissioner Abhin Dinesh Modak has been transferred as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), CB-CID, where he will oversee criminal investigations and major crime-related probes in the state.
He replaces senior IPS officer T. S. Anbu, who previously headed the CB-CID.
