The new assignments are expected to provide the officers with greater field-level responsibilities and experience in handling revenue, development, law and order coordination and other aspects of district administration.

The movement also represents a significant rotation among Assistant Magistrates who had been working in different districts during their initial field assignments.

Among the prominent destinations are Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Prayagraj, Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Lucknow, Shahjahanpur and Basti.

With 18 officers being posted simultaneously, the order marks a notable bureaucratic reshuffle at the junior field-administration level in the state.

The officers have been assigned their new responsibilities as Joint Magistrates in accordance with the government order.
