Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions to accelerate the implementation of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone (SVBPEIZ) project, aimed at creating a unified ecosystem for skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship.
The ambitious initiative is designed to provide integrated training-to-placement support for youth across the state through a network of regional hubs.
Integrated Employment and Skill Development Ecosystem
The SVBPEIZ project will function as a comprehensive platform combining:
- Skill training programs
- Job placement support
- Entrepreneurship development
- Industry-linked employment opportunities
The government plans to develop the project not just as a training centre but as a full-fledged employment and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Nine Regional Hubs to Connect Every District
The project will be implemented through:
- 9 regional hubs
- Multiple connected spoke centres
This hub-and-spoke model will ensure that skill development and employment services reach every district of Uttar Pradesh.
The aim is to make the system accessible for both urban and rural youth.
Industry-Oriented Skill Training Model
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that training programs must be aligned with real industry requirements.
Key features include:
- Curriculum inspired by Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE) model
- Strong quality assurance systems
- Enhanced placement mechanisms
The project targets:
- Over 10 lakh youth trained annually
- 10 lakh job matching opportunities per year
- Up to 80% placement rate
Focus on MSMEs and Gig Economy Expansion
The initiative also aims to strengthen the broader employment ecosystem by:
- Integrating 2 lakh new MSMEs
- Supporting 50,000 gig workers
- Promoting digital literacy and foreign language training
- Encouraging entrepreneurship development
This is expected to significantly expand job opportunities across sectors.
Multi-Skill Infrastructure Under One Roof
Each centre under SVBPEIZ will include:
- Skill development institutes
- Plug-and-play industrial facilities
- Entrepreneurship support systems
- Digital training infrastructure
The goal is to create self-contained campuses that support both employment and business creation.
Land Allocation and Phase-Wise Implementation
In the first phase, 369 acres of land has already been identified in:
- Mau
- Kanpur Dehat
- Kannauj
- Rae Bareli
- Pratapgarh
- Kanpur Nagar
The government is working on fast-tracking land availability and implementation models with private sector participation.
Equal Opportunities for Rural and Urban Youth
The Chief Minister emphasized that the project will benefit:
- Rural youth
- Women
- Traditional artisans
- Urban job seekers
The initiative aims to ensure inclusive growth and equal access to employment opportunities across the state.
