UPSC CSE Mains-2025 Admit Card Released: Exam Begins August 22 – How to Download, Exam Dates, & Important Guidelines

New Delhi:The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the admit cards for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2025. All candidates who have qualified for the Mains stage can now download their e-Admit Cards from the official UPSC websites – upsc.gov.in, upsconline.gov.in, and upsconline.nic.in.

The Civil Services Mains Examination 2025 will be conducted on August 22, 23, 24, 30, and 31, with two sessions each day:

  • Morning Session: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Afternoon Session: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

How to Download UPSC CSE Mains Admit Card 2025

Follow these steps to download the UPSC Mains hall ticket:

  • Visit the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in
  • Click on the link ‘e-Admit Card for Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025’
  • Login using your Registration ID/Roll Number and Date of Birth
  • Submit and download your CSE Mains 2025 Admit Card
  • Check all the details carefully for any discrepancies
  • Print the admit card and carry it to the examination hall

Candidates are advised to retain multiple copies and avoid last-minute rush to download the admit card.

Details to Verify on the Admit Card

Candidates must check the following details on the e-Admit Card:

  • Full Name
  • Photograph
  • Roll Number
  • QR Code
  • Exam Centre and Venue Address
  • Exam Timings
  • Reporting Time
  • Signature
  • Exam Day Instructions

In case of errors or discrepancies, candidates should immediately contact UPSC via email at [email protected]. Include your Name, Roll Number, Registration ID, and Year of Exam in all communication.

Items Not Allowed Inside Exam Hall

UPSC has strictly prohibited certain items in the exam centre:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smart/Digital watches
  • Electronic gadgets
  • Bags, books, notes
  • Valuables or stationery not permitted

Candidates must not carry these items, as no storage facility will be provided at the venue. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.

 Exam Format and Schedule

The UPSC Civil Services Exam is held in three phases

  • Preliminary Exam (Objective-type) – Already conducted
  • Mains Exam (Descriptive) – Scheduled from August 22 to 31
  • Personality Test/Interview – Post-Mains for shortlisted candidates

This year, the recruitment is being held for 979 posts. Candidates who qualify the Mains will proceed to the Interview stage, and the final merit list will be based on combined scores from the Mains and Interview.

Important Reminders for Candidates

Carry a printed admit card and the original photo ID (as mentioned in the admit card) to the exam hall.

Reach the venue well in advance to complete verification formalities.

Follow all exam-day protocols and dress code (if any).

Keep checking upsc.gov.in for any last-minute updates or notices.
