UPSC Declares Indian Forest Service (IFS) Exam 2025 Results; Basavaraj Kempawad Tops, 148 Candidates Recommended

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday declared the final results of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2025, recommending 148 candidates for appointment to the prestigious service.

Basavaraj Kempawad secured the first rank in the examination, while Anshuman Kumar Singh and Siddharathsecured the second and third positions respectively.

The final merit list has been prepared on the basis of:

  • The written examination conducted from November 16 to 23, 2025
  • Personality Test/Interview rounds held between April 6 and April 15, 2026

148 Candidates Recommended for Appointment

According to the UPSC notification, a total of 148 candidates have been recommended under various categories.

UPSC stated that two PwBD-1 vacancies have been carried forward to the next recruitment cycle due to non-availability of suitable candidates.

71 Candidates Kept Provisional

The Commission said the candidature of 71 recommended candidates has been kept provisional.

Additionally:

  • The result of one candidate has been withheld
  • Reservation claims under EWS/OBC/SC/ST and PwBD categories will be verified by the concerned authorities

Appointments will be made by the Government subject to:

  • Availability of vacancies
  • Fulfilment of eligibility conditions
  • Successful completion of verification procedures

Government Reported 150 Vacancies

The Government has reported a total of 150 vacancies for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2025.

UPSC Facilitation Counter and Result Access

The UPSC said candidates can obtain clarification regarding examination and recruitment processes through its Facilitation Counter located near the Examination Hall Building on the Commission’s campus.

  • Between 10 AM and 5 PM on working days
  • Via telephone numbers: 011-23385271 / 23381125

The result is available on the official UPSC website.

Marks of candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s website within 15 days from the date of declaration of results.
