Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Directs Officials to Resolve Public Grievances Without Delay

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed government officials to ensure that public grievances are resolved with sensitivity, transparency and within a fixed timeline. He made it clear that unnecessary delays in addressing citizens’ issues will not be tolerated at any level.

The Chief Minister emphasised that public welfare and good governance are the top priorities of the state government and instructed officials to work with greater accountability to provide timely relief to citizens.

CM Dhami Reviews Public Grievances at Chief Minister’s Camp Office

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the problems of people and state movement activists from different districts of Uttarakhand at the Chief Sevak Sadan located in the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on Friday.

During the interaction, he reviewed various public issues and directed officials to ensure effective action on every complaint received.

He said that citizens should not be forced to repeatedly visit government offices for resolution of their problems. Officials must take responsibility and ensure that complaints are handled efficiently.

Officials Directed to Resolve Complaints Without Delay

CM Dhami instructed officers to examine every complaint seriously and take action according to rules.

He directed that:

  • Every grievance should be assessed carefully and resolved through effective action.
  • Citizens should be regularly informed about the progress of their complaints.
  • Unnecessary delays in solving public issues must be avoided.
  • Officers should maintain transparency and accountability while handling cases.

The Chief Minister stressed that every citizen should receive timely justice and relief through an efficient grievance redressal system.

Priority Resolution of District and Department-Level Cases

During the meeting, CM Dhami instructed Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup and Garhwal Inspector General of Police Rajiv Swarup to ensure priority-based disposal of the complaints received.

He said that cases which can be resolved at the district or departmental level should be addressed immediately.

For matters requiring decisions at higher levels, officials were directed to forward them to the concerned departments without delay so that necessary action can be taken quickly.

Focus on Strengthening Public Hearing System

The Chief Minister called for making the state’s public hearing mechanism more effective and result-oriented.

He instructed officials to ensure that grievance redressal processes become more citizen-friendly and that people receive solutions without unnecessary procedural hurdles.CM Dhami reiterated that the government’s objective is to provide responsive administration, better governance and timely assistance to every citizen of Uttarakhand.
