Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday released the Public Works Department (PWD) Master Plan booklet, outlining over 100 infrastructure projects for the next five years. Speaking at the State Secretariat, the CM highlighted the state government’s focus on innovation, technology, and long-term planning to strengthen Uttarakhand’s infrastructure.
Future-Focused Infrastructure Development
CM Dhami emphasized that the state is prioritizing infrastructure projects that are designed with future needs in mind. He stated that the Master Plan will serve as a roadmap for developing the state’s infrastructure and ensuring a strong and secure future.
“This booklet will help realize Uttarakhand’s development potential and fulfill the commitments of Viksit Bharat-2047,” he added.
The CM highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, infrastructure development in the state has progressed rapidly, especially in road construction and connectivity projects.

Boosting Tourism and Technological Integration
With Uttarakhand emerging as a major tourism hub, the CM noted that development projects are being planned to meet the increasing needs of tourists. He added that technology and innovation are central to reorienting the state’s infrastructure for better efficiency and sustainability.
PWD’s Vision and Priorities
Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj praised the PWD for its clear vision and emphasized continuous efforts in enhancing connectivity and infrastructure.
PWD Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey explained that the Master Plan booklet includes the department’s vision for more than 100 projects, covering:
- Road connectivity and economic hub connectivity
- Bridge development and safety
- Road safety and slope protection
- Integration of technology
- Financial management and policy improvements

The program was attended by Vice Chairman of the Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dawar and senior PWD officials. The CM lauded the efforts of the PWD and reiterated the government’s commitment to achieving sustainable and visionary infrastructure development in Uttarakhand.
