During the Women Employment and Welfare Program, he announced financial assistance schemes from birth through education, a collective marriage scheme, and the upcoming ‘Lakshmibai Scooty Scheme’ to support girls’ mobility and education.

Financial Assistance for Daughters from Birth to Graduation

CM Yogi Adityanath announced that daughters in Uttar Pradesh will receive financial support at multiple stages of life, starting from birth through graduation. Each girl will receive a total of ₹25,000, distributed in phases:

  • At birth – Registration and initial financial aid deposited directly into the daughter’s bank account.
  • Vaccination incentives – Additional aid to ensure health and well-being.
  • School enrollment – Financial support provided when the girl enters first grade and upon completing fifth grade.

Currently, approximately 27 lakh daughters are benefiting from this scheme. The program aims to ensure that no girl misses education due to financial constraints.

In the first phase, meritorious students will receive the benefit, followed by other students in the second phase. This initiative aims to enhance mobility and access to education for girls across Uttar Pradesh.

Promoting Women’s Education, Respect, and Empowerment

The Uttar Pradesh government’s focus is to ensure education, financial security, and empowerment for girls, enabling them to become self-reliant and actively contribute to society and national development. Through these programs, the state is creating an environment where daughters can pursue education and opportunities without dependence or obstacles.
