UP CM Yogi Adityanath Gifts Ayushman Cards to Anganwadi Workers, Ensuring ₹5 Lakh Health Coverage

Lucknow: On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented Ayushman cards to Anganwadi workers in Uttar Pradesh, providing them and their families access to free medical treatment worth up to ₹5 lakh per year. Over 3 lakh Anganwadi workers have already benefited from this scheme, strengthening women’s health security across the state.

Health Security Boost for Anganwadi Workers

During the special Women’s Day program, CM Yogi Adityanath handed Ayushman cards to five Anganwadi workers, including Gudiya Singh, Priyanka Singh, Sudha Awasthi, Uma Singh, and Lalawati. This initiative aims to give Anganwadi workers and their families a strong shield of health protection, ensuring access to quality healthcare services and financial support during medical emergencies.

Women Empowerment and Self-Reliance

The Uttar Pradesh government prioritizes women’s empowerment and self-reliance. Anganwadi worker Gudiya Singh expressed her gratitude, saying that the Ayushman card has boosted her confidence and is a “blessing” for her and her family. Through this program, families now have access to treatment worth up to ₹5 lakh, reducing financial stress related to serious illnesses.

Reducing Healthcare Worries

Anganwadi workers often face multiple responsibilities and challenges. The Ayushman card provides guaranteed healthcare coverage, ensuring that they can focus on their work without worrying about medical expenses. Priyanka Singh highlighted that this initiative allows women to move freely and confidently, knowing that healthcare support is available.

Strengthening Women’s Health and Empowerment

The state government aims to provide Ayushman card coverage to all Anganwadi workers and their assistants, including their family members. Beneficiaries can receive free treatment up to ₹5 lakh at designated hospitals. The program not only improves healthcare access but also empowers women to continue their work in nutrition, child development, and social change.

Celebrating Women’s Contribution to Society

The program emphasized that Anganwadi workers are key drivers of social progress, contributing significantly to child nutrition, health, and overall community development. By providing health security, the government reinforces its commitment to women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment in Uttar Pradesh.
