Lucknow: Lucknow is set to witness a major expansion in residential infrastructure, with the foundation stones for seven residential and apartment projects laid on Thursday by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The projects include two major township schemes of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) and five residential apartment projects.
The combined investment in the two township schemes — Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar — is estimated at ₹12,000 crore, while the five residential apartment projects have a combined cost of around ₹2,166 crore.
Together, the projects represent an investment of approximately ₹14,166 crore in Lucknow’s residential infrastructure.
CM Yogi Lays Foundation Stones for 7 Housing Projects
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stones for the projects at Dona village near the Agra Expressway in Lucknow. BJP MLAs and officials of the Lucknow Development Authority were also present during the event.
The projects are expected to expand planned residential development in different parts of the city and provide additional housing opportunities as Lucknow continues to grow.

Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar to Cover 10,680 Acres
The Lucknow Development Authority’s Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar schemes will be developed across a combined area of 10,680 acres.
Registration for plots under the two schemes also began on Thursday, allowing prospective buyers to participate in the newly launched residential development initiatives.
Varun Vihar Scheme
The Varun Vihar scheme will be developed near the Agra Expressway in Kakori, Lucknow. The location is expected to benefit from connectivity to the expressway and surrounding areas.
Naimish Nagar Scheme
The Naimish Nagar scheme will come up in the Sitapur Road-IIM Road area. For the development of the project, land has been acquired across 18 villages in BKT tehsil.
The large-scale township projects are aimed at creating planned residential areas with supporting urban infrastructure.
Aishbagh Square to Become Lucknow’s Tallest Building
Among the five residential apartment projects, the Aishbagh Square apartment complex is a major highlight.
The complex will have 27 floors, making it the tallest building in Lucknow once completed. The project will comprise:
- 4 residential towers
- 27 floors
- 384 flats
The high-rise development is expected to add a significant vertical housing option to Lucknow’s residential landscape.
Major Push for Lucknow’s Residential Infrastructure
The launch of these seven projects marks a significant expansion of planned housing development in Lucknow. The large township schemes will cover thousands of acres, while the apartment projects will provide additional residential units in different parts of the city.
With the foundation stones now laid and plot registrations beginning for Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar, the projects are set to become an important part of Lucknow’s future residential and urban development.
