In a commendable effort to spread awareness about cyber crimes, IPS Bhavna Gupta, the SP of District Gaurela Pendra Marwahi Police has launched a unique initiative called “Cyber Ki Pathshala.” This program, conducted live on the Facebook page of GPM Police, aims to educate the public about the various threats posed by cyber crimes and the measures to prevent them. By bringing in cyber experts and law enforcement officials, the program seeks to bridge the knowledge gap on this critical issue.

In a recent session of “Cyber Ki Pathshala,” actor Sparsh Srivastava, the lead star of the Netflix web series Jamtara and the film Lapata Ladies, joined the initiative. Known for his portrayal of cyber criminals on screen, Sparsh lent his star power to the cause, engaging with students, teachers, and the general public to discuss the importance of cyber safety.

The live session saw enthusiastic participation from students and teachers of several institutions, including Pendra Diet College, Swami Atmanand School English Medium, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sakola, Bharatmata School, and nursing students of Rani Durgawati College, Dr. B.S. Porte College, and Upasana Education in the Marwahi area.

During the hour-long program, students interacted directly with Sparsh Srivastava, asking him questions about his experiences with cyber fraud and his balancing act between studies and acting. Notably, Namrata, a student of Swami Atmanand School, and Pankaj Jaiswal asked if Sparsh had ever fallen victim to cybercrime. In response, Sparsh shared his own experience with a fraudulent KBC call. When asked about his role in Jamtara, where he used voice modulation for scams, Sparsh entertained the audience by reenacting the scene live, leaving everyone in awe.

Nagendra Singh, a teacher from the district, inquired about phishing methods, while journalist Akhilesh Namdev asked Sparsh about his research on cyber fraud during the filming of Jamtara. Sparsh provided insightful answers, drawing from both his personal experiences and his work on the web series.

At the end of the session, Sparsh praised SP Bhavna Gupta and her team for their dedication to raising cyber awareness. He expressed his gratitude for being part of the initiative and lauded the district police for their innovative approach to tackling cybercrime.

The program was successfully organized under the guidance of District Additional Superintendent of Police Om Chandel, with active contributions from DSP Nikita Tiwari, DSP Deepak Mishra, ASI Manoj Hanotiya, constable Ramchandra Yadav, and various station in-charges.

SP Bhavna Gupta’s “Cyber Ki Pathshala” continues to be a beacon of awareness, empowering the community with the knowledge to protect themselves in the digital age.
