In a move aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and strengthening governance at the district level, the Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday transferred four IAS officers, assigning them to key roles across the state. The reshuffle, issued by Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad, reflects a continued effort to align administrative leadership with evolving regional needs.
One of the key appointments in this reshuffle is that of Surapati Prasanth Kumar, who has been posted as Joint Collector of Polavaram district. In addition to this role, he has also been entrusted with the full additional charge of Project Director of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Rampachodavaram. His dual responsibility is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening tribal welfare initiatives and district administration in the region.
Waikhom Nydia Devi has been appointed as Joint Collector of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, a region known for its unique administrative and socio-economic dynamics. Her posting is seen as part of the government’s effort to bring focused administrative attention to the district.

FOCUS ON TRIBAL AND DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION
The reshuffle also emphasizes strengthening governance in tribal and remote areas. Shubham Nokhwal has been transferred and posted as Project Officer, ITDA, Chintoor in Polavaram district. In addition, he will hold the full additional charge of Sub-Collector, Chintoor, enabling a more integrated approach to development and administration in the tribal belt.
Similarly, R. Vaishali has been appointed as Project Officer, ITDA, Parvathipuram, while also taking on the role of Sub-Collector, Parvathipurum, in full additional charge. These combined roles are expected to ensure better coordination between development programs and revenue administration.
The latest transfers highlight the state government’s focus on optimizing administrative resources, particularly in tribal and underdeveloped regions. By assigning multiple responsibilities to officers, the administration aims to improve coordination, accelerate decision-making, and ensure more effective implementation of welfare and development schemes.
Such periodic reshuffles remain a key tool for governments to maintain administrative dynamism and responsiveness across districts.
