New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been honored with the prestigious SCOPE Eminence Award 2022-23 in the category of R&D, Technology Development & Innovation. The award was conferred by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Recognition of Technological Leadership

The award was received by K. Sadashiv Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL, along with S.M. Ramanathan, Director (Engineering, R&D). This recognition underscores BHEL’s leading role in advancing indigenous research and innovation, while driving India’s technological self-reliance.

Presence of Dignitaries

The ceremony was attended by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, and senior officials from the Department of Public Enterprises. Directors on BHEL’s Board, including Krishna Kumar Thakur (HR), Tajinder Gupta (Power), and Bani Varma (IS&P), were also present at the occasion, marking the company’s collective pride in this achievement.
