New Delhi: Indian Railways has approved a new tri-weekly Amrit Bharat Express between Bhuj in Gujarat and Barauni in Bihar, creating a direct rail link across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The Bhuj-Barauni Amrit Bharat Express will cover approximately 2,532 km and serve several major stations along the route, including Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Mathura, Gorakhpur, Hajipur and Muzaffarpur.
New Amrit Bharat Express to Run Three Days a Week
The service will operate under Train Nos. 19427 and 19428 in the two directions.

Bhuj–Barauni (19427):
- Departure from Bhuj: 5:30 PM
- Arrival at Barauni: 4:05 AM
- Operating days: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
Barauni–Bhuj (19428):
- Departure from Barauni: 11:55 PM
- Arrival at Bhuj: 1:15 PM
- Operating days: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

The train will have commercial stoppages at several important stations across its route, including:
- Samakhiali
- Ahmedabad
- Ratlam
- Kota
- Sawai Madhopur
- Gangapur City
- Bharatpur
- Mathura
- Hathras
- Bareilly
- Izzatnagar
- Pilibhit
- Lakhimpur
- Gonda
- Gorakhpur
- Siwan
- Chhapra
- Hajipur
- Muzaffarpur
- Samastipur
The service will provide an additional rail travel option between the western and eastern parts of India, particularly for passengers travelling between Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

The new service will create a long-distance rail connection spanning 2,532 km across four states:

- Rajasthan
- Uttar Pradesh
- Bihar
With Bhuj at the western end and Barauni at the eastern end, the service is expected to offer passengers another direct travel option across these regions.
