New Delhi: Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), NHPC Limited, visited the Rangit-IV Hydro Electric Project on September 24, 2026, and reviewed the progress of key project works.
During the visit, Singh held a comprehensive review of the dam works and preparedness for reservoir filling along with the project team. He also inspected the Head Race Tunnel (HRT) and Power House sites and took stock of the ongoing civil and electro-mechanical works.
NHPC Director Reviews Key Project Works
During his visit, Sanjay Kumar Singh reviewed the progress of various components of the Rangit-IV Hydro Electric Project.
The review covered:
- Dam works
- Reservoir filling preparedness
- Head Race Tunnel (HRT)
- Power House
- Ongoing Civil works
- Ongoing Electro-Mechanical (E&M) works
The inspection provided an opportunity to assess the status of critical works and the project’s preparedness for its upcoming stages.

Focus on Timely Completion and Project Commissioning
Following the review, the Director (Projects) expressed satisfaction with the performance of the project team and the progress of ongoing works.
He directed the team to complete the remaining works while maintaining the required quality and safety standards.
The instructions were aimed at ensuring that the balance works are completed in a timely manner and that the project remains on track to achieve its scheduled commissioning.
