Patna: A day after a major IAS reshuffle, the Samrat Choudhary-led Bihar government has effected a major reshuffle of IPS officers, assigning new responsibilities to 17 officers across the state’s police administration.
The reshuffle includes changes at the DIG and SP levels, with officers being posted to key wings such as Prohibition and NNTF, Civil Defence, Special Vigilance Unit, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Finance and Technical Services, ATS and CID.
Several districts, including Nalanda, Siwan, Saran, Rohtas and Bhojpur, have also received new SPs.
Anil Kumar Gets Prohibition and NNTF Charge
Anil Kumar, IPS (2010), who was serving as DIG, Finance and Technical Services, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Prohibition and NNTF, Bihar, Patna.
Mrityunjay Kumar Chaudhary, IPS (2010), has been assigned the responsibility of DIG, Civil Defence, Bihar.
Changes in Vigilance and Finance Wings
Rajiv Ranjan-2, IPS (2012), has been appointed as DIG, Special Vigilance Unit, Bihar.
Ajay Kumar Pandey, IPS (2012), has been posted as DIG, Finance and Technical Services.
Another 2012-batch officer, Amir Javed, has been appointed as DIG, Vigilance Investigation Bureau.
Mithilesh Kumar, IPS (2012), has been posted as Commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-9, Jamalpur.
Meanwhile, Sushil Kumar, DIG, Legal Affairs and Rules, has been given additional charge of DIG, Human Rights.
New SPs Appointed in Nalanda, Siwan and Saran
At the district level, several important changes have been made.
Hriday Kant, IPS (2015), has been appointed as the new SP, Nalanda.
Bharat Soni, IPS (2019), has been posted as SP, Siwan.
Roshan Kumar, IPS (2019), has been appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Saran.
Rohtas and Bhojpur Also Get New SPs
Raj, IPS (2019), has been appointed as the new SP, Rohtas.
Awadhesh Dixit, IPS (2019), has been posted as SP, Bhojpur.
Garima, IPS (2018), has been assigned the responsibility of SP, Weaker Sections and Women’s Cell, CID.
Changes in ATS, Special Vigilance Unit and NNTF
Puran Kumar Jha, IPS (2018), has been transferred to Bihar Police Headquarters, Patna, where he will remain awaiting a new posting.
Vineet Kumar, IPS (2017), has been appointed as SP, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Bihar.
Manish Kumar has been assigned the responsibility of SP, Special Vigilance Unit.
Ramanand Kumar Kaushal has also been appointed as SP, Special Vigilance Unit.
Rajesh Kumar has been posted as SP, NNTF (Narcotics and Liquor Prohibition Task Force) and State-Level Control Bureau.
