Raipur: Chhattisgarh has secured investment proposals worth ₹43,250 crore at the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026 in Singapore, with a proposed ₹41,750 crore investment in a 100-megawatt (MW) hyperscale data centre emerging as the largest single commitment announced at the forum.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai led a high-level state delegation to the event and formally handed over an “Invitation to Invest” to executives of Singapore-headquartered Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd for the proposed data centre project.
The proposed investment is expected to strengthen Chhattisgarh’s digital infrastructure ecosystem and support the development of cloud computing, enterprise data storage and next-generation technology services. The remaining ₹1,500 crore in investment proposals will cover supplementary digital solutions, renewable power linkages and supporting IT infrastructure.
The development reflects the state government’s efforts to attract international investment and expand its presence in the digital infrastructure and technology sectors.
Chhattisgarh Attracts ₹41,750 Crore for 100 MW Hyperscale Data Centre
The proposed 100 MW hyperscale data centre is the centrepiece of Chhattisgarh’s investment proposals at the Singapore forum.
Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd received the Invitation to Invest from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for the development of the facility. The proposed project is intended to establish large-scale digital infrastructure capable of supporting growing demand for data storage, cloud services and computing capacity.
Hyperscale data centres are designed to handle substantial volumes of digital information and computing workloads. Their infrastructure supports cloud platforms, enterprise applications, artificial intelligence (AI) and other data-intensive technologies.
The proposed project could help Chhattisgarh attract further investments from technology companies, internet service providers and cloud computing operators.

Investment to Strengthen Chhattisgarh’s Digital Infrastructure
The state government aims to position Chhattisgarh as an emerging destination for digital infrastructure and technology-led industrial development.
The proposed data centre could support the expansion of several related sectors, including:
- Cloud computing: Infrastructure for cloud-based applications and services.
- Enterprise data storage: Facilities for businesses requiring secure and reliable data storage.
- Artificial Intelligence: Computing infrastructure to support data-intensive workloads.
- Digital services: Opportunities for internet, technology and cloud service providers.
- IT infrastructure: Development of supporting digital systems and related facilities.
The project is also expected to create specialised employment opportunities in areas such as network architecture, systems engineering and data centre facilities management.
However, the scale and timing of these potential benefits will depend on the project’s implementation and the arrival of associated investments.
Chhattisgarh Highlights Power and Infrastructure Advantages
Hyperscale data centres require dependable electricity supplies, substantial land parcels and efficient power distribution infrastructure to maintain round-the-clock operations. According to the investment proposal, Chhattisgarh’s power availability and industrial infrastructure could provide an advantage in attracting large-scale data centre projects.
The state government is seeking to leverage these strengths to attract investments across information technology, clean energy and hardware manufacturing.
Officials highlighted the importance of policy stability, resource availability and a business-friendly environment in encouraging international companies to consider investment opportunities in the state.
Additional ₹1,500 Crore Proposals to Support Digital and Renewable Infrastructure
Apart from the proposed ₹41,750 crore data centre project, Chhattisgarh secured another ₹1,500 crore in investment proposals at the SING Forum 2026.
These proposals are expected to cover supporting infrastructure and services required to strengthen the state’s digital ecosystem.
The proposed areas include:
- Supplementary digital solutions.
- Renewable power linkages.
- Auxiliary IT infrastructure.
- Supporting facilities for mission-critical digital operations.
The additional proposals could complement the hyperscale data centre investment by supporting its broader energy and infrastructure requirements.
AI and Cloud Computing Drive Demand for Data Centres
Demand for data storage and computing infrastructure has been increasing as businesses adopt artificial intelligence, migrate operations to cloud platforms and expand their digital services. Data localisation requirements and growing demand for secure, accessible computing resources have also increased the importance of regional data centre infrastructure.
Against this backdrop, Chhattisgarh aims to attract investments that could help it participate in India’s expanding digital economy and compete with established technology hubs in western and southern India.
Chhattisgarh to Work on Project Implementation and Clearances
Following the announcement of the investment proposals, state officials are expected to coordinate with project promoters to advance the next stages of development.
The proposed work includes:
- Finalising land allotment.
- Establishing power purchase frameworks.
- Obtaining statutory approvals and clearances.
- Coordinating technical requirements with project promoters.
- Moving the proposals towards phased implementation.
These steps will be important in translating the investment proposals into projects on the ground. The timelines for construction, commissioning and the start of operations will depend on the completion of these processes.
The investment proposals announced at the SING Forum 2026 mark a significant opportunity for Chhattisgarh to expand its digital infrastructure and attract further technology-led investment.
