CM Vishnu Deo Sai-led government launches major power infrastructure upgrade to improve electricity supply for farmers, students, and rural areas
Indian Masterminds Stories

Raipur/Jashpur: The Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Vishnu Deo Sai, has announced a major initiative to strengthen the state’s electricity network and resolve long-standing low voltage issues in rural areas, including Jashpur district.

As part of the plan, additional transformers will be installed in 133 villages, towns, and hamlets to ensure stable and reliable power supply.

Permanent Solution to Low Voltage and Power Cuts

The new initiative aims to address frequent issues of low voltage and power interruptions that have affected daily life in rural regions.

This step is expected to directly benefit:

  • Farmers dependent on irrigation pumps
  • Students requiring uninterrupted electricity for studies
  • Small traders and local businesses

Officials say the move will provide a long-term solution to recurring power problems in these areas.

Major Expansion of Electricity Infrastructure in Jashpur

Along with transformer installation, the state is rapidly expanding its power infrastructure in Jashpur district through several key projects:

  • A 400/220 KV high-capacity substation at Harradand, Kunkuri
  • Multiple new 33/11 KV substations at Salihatoli, Viptapur, Bhagora, Samdama, Maini, Rede, Palidih, Khutera, and Chetwa
  • 132/33 KV substations approved at Farasbahar and Jhikki Bagicha

These projects aim to improve voltage stability and strengthen the overall distribution system.

Strengthening Statewide Power Distribution Network

The government is focusing on modernizing electricity infrastructure across Chhattisgarh to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply.

These upgrades are expected to reduce:

  • Voltage fluctuations
  • Power tripping incidents
  • Load pressure on existing systems

Boost for Agriculture, Industry, and Rural Development

Improved electricity supply is likely to benefit multiple sectors, including agriculture, small industries, education, and healthcare.

Better power availability is also expected to support rural economic growth and improve the overall standard of living in affected areas.

Public Welcomes Government Initiative

Residents across Jashpur and nearby regions have welcomed the announcement and expressed gratitude to the state government. Many have described it as a long-awaited step toward resolving persistent electricity issues.

Step Towards Reliable and Modern Power Infrastructure

The initiative reflects the Chhattisgarh government’s focus on building a stronger and more reliable power system.

With expanded infrastructure and improved distribution, the state aims to ensure consistent electricity supply and support long-term rural development.
