During the visit, the Rwandan delegation met Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. The discussions covered new opportunities to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation and reviewed progress under the existing partnership. Both sides expressed their commitment to expanding collaboration in the coming years.

India and Rwanda signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on defence cooperation in July 2018 during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Rwanda.
