5,000 CM School of Excellence to Strengthen Rural Education

One of the key decisions taken in the meeting was to expand the number of CM Schools of Excellence to 5,000 across the state.

CM Soren said strengthening education at the grassroots level remains a top priority for the government.

Internet and Digital Infrastructure in All Schools

He said digital learning tools are essential for improving educational outcomes and preparing students for future opportunities.

Focus on Reducing Dropout Rate

The government informed that Jharkhand has shown steady improvement in reducing dropout rates and is performing better than the national average.

Key measures include:

  • Special enrolment drives for dropout students
  • Coordination with Labour Department to identify out-of-school children
  • Reintegration of working children into schools

CM Soren praised these efforts and asked for further strengthening of the campaign.

Sports, Transport and Green Initiatives in Schools

The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of holistic development in education.

He directed officials to:

  • Promote sports activities in schools
  • Identify and support talented athletes
  • Launch tree plantation drives in school campuses
  • Introduce pilot transport facilities for students

He said these initiatives will improve attendance and overall student well-being.

New School for Martyrs’ Children Under Planning

The proposed “Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Vidyalaya” was also discussed during the meeting.

This school will provide free and quality education to children of martyred police personnel. The Chief Minister instructed officials to submit its Detailed Project Report (DPR) within one week.
