Lucknow: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) organised ‘Apna Samvaad’ at its Gorakhpur Plant to bring together Lakhpati Drone Didis from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for an interaction focused on their achievements, experiences and the growing role of drone technology in agriculture.
The programme provided a platform for women entrepreneurs to share their success stories, discuss challenges in adopting drone-based agricultural services and highlight the opportunities these technologies are creating for rural livelihoods, entrepreneurship and financial self-reliance.
The interaction was led by Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of HURL, who engaged with the participants, encouraged their entrepreneurial efforts and assured them of continued support from the company.
HURL’s Apna Samvaad Brings Together Drone Didis
The ‘Apna Samvaad’ programme brought together women entrepreneurs who are using drone technology to support agricultural activities and develop new livelihood opportunities in rural areas.
Drone Didis from different locations across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar also participated virtually, sharing their experiences and the impact of their work in the field.
The interaction enabled participants to discuss their entrepreneurial journeys, achievements and practical challenges while exchanging ideas on expanding drone-based agricultural services.

Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of HURL, led the interaction with the participating Drone Didis.

The programme also featured an award ceremony recognising the three highest-performing Drone Didis for their achievements and contributions.
The recognition celebrated their efforts in delivering drone-based agricultural services and promoting the use of modern technology at the grassroots level.
