While interacting with 11 probationary officers from the 2022 and 2023 batches of the Indian Police Service (IPS), who are part of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Mangubhai Patel, emphasized that the common people view IPS officers as guardians of law and order, entrusted with delivering justice. He urged officers to use their powers to uplift the most vulnerable members of society, particularly those at the lowest levels. Director of the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, ADG Ms. Sonali Mishra (1993-batch IPS officer), and other top cops were also present.

During his address, Governor Patel stressed that the success of any administration is rooted in the sensitivity of its officers. He explained that sensitive officers are the true servants of society and the nation, as their actions can significantly contribute to the welfare of both. He urged the officers to prioritize sensitivity in all their work and interactions.

The Governor also highlighted the vital role of parents and teachers in shaping the officers’ journey, emphasizing that every individual in society, whether directly or indirectly, plays a part in their success. He encouraged the officers to always remain grateful to those who have supported them.

Mr. Patel reminded the young officers that they are part of the “Amrut generation,” a cohort committed to building a prosperous and developed India. He urged them to create a work culture where the public respects the law, rather than fearing those who enforce it.

In his concluding remarks, the Governor called on the officers to work with courage, integrity, and without bias, inspiring their teams through their own actions. He underscored the importance of innovation and awareness in tackling the growing threat of cybercrime. Highlighting the evolving nature of cyber threats, such as digital arrests and cyber fraud, he encouraged the officers to focus on educating the public, particularly the marginalized sections, about these risks.
