Leadership Updates: IRFC Appoints 2 New Independent Directors for 3-Year Tenure

New Delhi: Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited (IRFC) has appointed Pradeep Ahlawat and Ms. Manjula Mishra as Part-time Non-Official Independent Directors on its Board.

The appointments have been made pursuant to the Ministry of Railways, Government of India Order No. 2026/PL/57/16 dated August 13, 2026.

IRFC Appoints Two New Independent Directors

As per the Ministry of Railways order, the following appointments have been made to IRFC’s Board:

  • Pradeep Ahlawat – Part-time Non-Official Independent Director
  • Ms. Manjula Mishra – Part-time Non-Official Independent Director

Both appointments are effective August 13, 2026, for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The appointments are expected to strengthen IRFC’s Board and support its corporate governance and strategic oversight.

Appointment Formalities Underway

IRFC has informed the stock exchanges that it is taking the necessary steps to complete the appointment formalities for the two newly appointed directors.

The company has also stated that further detailed disclosures regarding Pradeep Ahlawat and Manjula Mishra will be submitted in due course.

The appointments have been disclosed by IRFC under Regulation 30 and Regulation 51(2) of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Three-Year Tenure for New Directors

The tenure of both Part-time Non-Official Independent Directors will run for three years from August 13, 2026, unless the Government issues further orders before the completion of the term.

The induction of the two directors adds to the Board’s oversight structure as IRFC continues its role in supporting the financing requirements of Indian Railways.
