Dehradun: The Uttarakhand High Court mining ban has brought major relief to environmental concerns in the state. In a significant move, the Uttarakhand High Court has directed authorities to immediately stop the use of heavy machinery for mining in the Ramganga River and Saryu River areas. 

The court emphasized the need to protect fragile river ecosystems and prevent environmental damage caused by mechanized extraction activities.
