Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is stepping up its efforts to attract investment in energy, infrastructure, logistics and technology, with Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav discussing potential projects with Crescent Enterprises CEO Badr Jafar during the AIM Congress-2026 in Dubai.

The one-to-one meeting took place on September 8, the third day of the Annual Investment Meeting. Discussions covered renewable energy, industrial infrastructure, ports, logistics, technology-driven enterprises and investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

Dr Yadav also invited Jafar to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2027 and visit Madhya Pradesh to explore investment opportunities in the state.

Renewable Energy and Industrial Infrastructure in Focus

A key area discussed during the meeting was the development of renewable energy and industrial infrastructure projects aimed at supporting sustainable economic growth in Madhya Pradesh.

The discussions also covered opportunities to strengthen logistics, warehousing and export-oriented facilities around the state’s major production clusters.

For Madhya Pradesh, such infrastructure can help connect production centres with markets while supporting the movement of agricultural and industrial goods.

The meeting also explored technology-based investment opportunities, including support for scalable startups and enterprises operating from Madhya Pradesh.

Logistics and Export Infrastructure

Logistics was another major component of the discussions.

Madhya Pradesh has been working to strengthen its connectivity and logistics ecosystem, and the meeting examined opportunities around warehousing and export-enabled infrastructure.

Better logistics facilities can support businesses by improving access to storage, transportation and distribution networks. They can also help connect the state’s industrial and agricultural production with national markets and international trade routes.

The discussions also included infrastructure for major production clusters, with a focus on improving the wider ecosystem required for manufacturing, trade and exports.

Sustainable Urban Development and Resource Efficiency

The discussions extended beyond conventional infrastructure to sustainable urban development.

Crescent Group expressed interest in areas such as sustainable urban infrastructure, resource efficiency and circular-economy initiatives.

These areas are increasingly relevant as cities expand and demand grows for efficient use of energy, water, materials and other resources.

For Madhya Pradesh, such projects can complement its broader infrastructure and urban development priorities.

Technology and Startup Investment

Technology-driven enterprises and Madhya Pradesh-based startups were also part of the investment discussions.

The focus was on identifying scalable businesses and opportunities where technology can support economic activity and new services.

The two sides also discussed international partnerships, technology transfer and market access for projects based in Madhya Pradesh.

Such partnerships can provide local enterprises with access to technology, international networks and wider markets.

Long-Term Investment Partnerships

The meeting also discussed long-term investment partnerships for infrastructure and enterprise opportunities that are ready for implementation.

The approach covers multiple areas rather than a single sector, linking infrastructure development with technology, logistics, energy and market access.

Dr Yadav’s outreach at AIM Congress-2026 is part of Madhya Pradesh’s broader effort to engage global investors and present the state as an investment destination across diverse sectors.

Crescent Group to Send Investor Delegation

Badr Jafar said he would participate in GIS-2027 with a delegation and explore investment opportunities in information technology and infrastructure through his family business, Crescent Enterprises.

He also said a delegation led by the company’s Deputy CEO Tushar would be sent to Madhya Pradesh.

Jafar is expected to visit with a delegation of around 10–12 investors, providing an opportunity to discuss specific investment possibilities in the state.

Crescent Group’s Business Interests

Crescent Group is a diversified business group with interests in energy, logistics, infrastructure and investment.

Crescent Petroleum and Crescent Enterprises are its key business platforms. The group focuses on sustainable, innovative and growth-oriented business ventures across several sectors and operates in the Middle East, with its headquarters in Sharjah.

The group’s business interests provided the broader context for the discussion on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

MP Highlights Its Connectivity and Investment Potential

During the meeting, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s investment opportunities in energy, logistics, infrastructure and other sectors.

He also pointed to the state’s road, rail and air connectivity. According to the Chief Minister, finished products manufactured in Madhya Pradesh can reach different parts of the country within a few hours because of the state’s connectivity network.

The development of new airports has further strengthened the state’s transportation network, according to the Chief Minister.

Madhya Pradesh is positioning this connectivity alongside its industrial clusters, logistics infrastructure and investment policies to attract projects across sectors.

A Wider Development Focus for Madhya Pradesh

The Crescent meeting reflects a wider investment strategy in which Madhya Pradesh is seeking projects that can strengthen its economic infrastructure rather than focusing on a single industry.

Renewable energy can support the state’s energy requirements, while logistics and warehousing can improve the movement of goods. Technology partnerships and startup investment can add new economic activity, while sustainable urban infrastructure can support the development of growing cities.

The discussions at AIM Congress-2026 therefore form part of Madhya Pradesh’s larger effort to attract investment, strengthen infrastructure and connect local production with national and global markets.
