Singrauli: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced a series of major development initiatives in Singrauli district, including infrastructure projects, welfare transfers, and cultural celebrations during the “Singrauli Mahotsav (Nagar Gaurav Diwas 2026).”
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for key projects and addressed a public gathering at Choon Kumari Stadium in Baidhan, marking a major push for the district’s development and cultural identity.
₹512 Crore Development Push for Singrauli
CM Mohan Yadav announced development works worth ₹512 crore, with a commitment to completing projects worth over ₹1,000 crore in the near future.
Key initiatives include:
- Multiple infrastructure development projects
- Urban and rural development works
- Strengthening of local facilities and services
He said Singrauli will be developed as a modern and progressive urban centre in Madhya Pradesh.
New Sports Complex in Baidhan
The Chief Minister performed the foundation stone laying (bhoomi-pujan) of a modern sports complex in Baidhan worth ₹11.56 crore.
The facility will include:
- Modern sports infrastructure
- Training facilities for youth
- Opportunities for rural and urban athletes
Officials said the complex will help nurture local sports talent and promote a healthy sports culture in the region.
Massive Welfare Transfers to Beneficiaries
As part of direct benefit transfers, CM Yadav released large-scale financial assistance under key schemes:
- ₹202.26 crore to 33.71 lakh pension beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme
- ₹114.97 crore transferred to 24 lakh women beneficiaries under LPG refill subsidy scheme (₹450 cylinder initiative)
- Over ₹100 crore additional support for welfare-linked transfers
The funds were released through single-click digital transfer systems.
Singrauli Mahotsav 2026 Inaugurated
CM Yadav formally inaugurated the Singrauli Mahotsav (Nagar Gaurav Diwas) by lighting a ceremonial lamp at Choon Kumari Stadium.
The three-day festival celebrates:
- Cultural heritage of Singrauli
- Local traditions and folk arts
- Community participation and development awareness
The Chief Minister said such events strengthen social unity and regional identity.
Cultural Evening with Kailash Kher
The festival witnessed a vibrant cultural night featuring renowned singer Kailash Kher, who enthralled the audience with his live performance.
The Chief Minister also felicitated the Padma Shri award-winning artist during the event, which drew large public participation.
Focus on Culture, Development and Heritage
CM Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is simultaneously focusing on:
- Economic development
- Cultural preservation
- Spiritual and social upliftment
He said Singrauli is not only an energy hub but also emerging as a centre of culture, development, and new opportunities.
He also highlighted initiatives inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focusing on heritage conservation and cultural revival across the state.

The Chief Minister stated that Singrauli will be developed into one of the most advanced districts in Madhya Pradesh through sustained infrastructure investment, welfare programs, and cultural initiatives.
He added that the Singrauli Mahotsav will now be celebrated annually to promote regional pride and development awareness.
