Bhopal: In a major step to empower youth and strengthen the state’s digital economy, the Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has announced the launch of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and FinTech certificate courses in 68 government colleges across the state from the academic session 2026-27.

This initiative aims to equip students with technical skills and practical knowledge to thrive in emerging industries.

Government’s Youth-Friendly Initiative

The BJP-led Mohan Yadav government has been taking several measures to accelerate development in the state. This new initiative focuses on providing students with modern skills in technology and finance, ensuring better employment opportunities and career growth.

“The government is committed to inclusive development, focusing on the welfare of farmers, women, children, and senior citizens, while also empowering youth with future-ready skills,” stated sources close to the Chief Minister.

Course Details and Collaboration with IIT Delhi

The AI and FinTech certificate courses will be conducted in collaboration with IIT Delhi. Key highlights include:

  • Duration: Approximately 3 months
  • Target Students: Around 2,000 students across 68 colleges
  • Mode: Both online and offline learning options
  • Fees: No tuition fees; only a refundable security deposit required
  • Objective: Provide employment-oriented skills and practical knowledge in AI and FinTech

Each college will have a limited number of seats, ensuring focused training for participants. This initiative is expected to benefit hundreds of students by providing them hands-on experience in rapidly growing fields.

CM Mohan Yadav Reviews Welfare and Development Programs

Recently, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav conducted a detailed review meeting with all commissioners and collectors of the state to ensure timely implementation of welfare programs and enhance public participation.

Key directives from the meeting included:

  • Inspecting and staying actively engaged in local areas
  • Conducting night stays in villages for direct interaction with citizens
  • Ensuring smooth wheat procurement for small farmers with timely payments and proper facilities
  • Strengthening campaigns like Jal Ganga Conservation and Sankalp Se Samadhan with maximum public involvement

Boosting Youth Skills and Employment

This government-led initiative aligns with the vision of building a skilled workforce ready for emerging technologies. By providing students with practical exposure to AI and FinTech, Madhya Pradesh aims to create new opportunities in technology-driven sectors, preparing its youth for a competitive future.

With AI and FinTech certificate courses, the Mohan Yadav government is giving a significant boost to skill development among youth, ensuring they are ready to embrace digital transformation and employment opportunities in India’s growing technology landscape.
