Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has once again drawn attention for promoting simplicity and cost-effective governance, choosing to travel by a tourist bus from Indore to Ujjain along with ministers, MPs, and officials. The move comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation and efficient use of public resources.

The Chief Minister has been increasingly projecting an image of a “common man leader” by avoiding high-security convoys and opting for more economical travel options.

Bus Journey from Indore to Ujjain with Ministers and MPs

On Thursday, CM Mohan Yadav travelled from Indore to Ujjain in a bus, leaving behind the traditional convoy system. He was accompanied by ministers, MPs, and other public representatives. The journey was seen as a symbolic step toward promoting austerity and responsible use of government resources. Officials described the initiative as part of a broader message on reducing unnecessary administrative expenditure.

Inspired by PM Modi’s Call for Fuel and Energy Conservation

The Chief Minister said his decision was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s repeated emphasis on saving fuel and promoting energy efficiency. Dr. Yadav highlighted that adopting eco-friendly and cost-effective travel options is necessary in today’s context of rising energy concerns and environmental challenges. He also urged public representatives and citizens to follow similar practices.

Focus on Simplicity and Administrative Efficiency

CM Yadav stated that his government is working towards a culture of simplicity in governance, where administrative spending is minimized and resources are directed toward development work. He has also been seen using metro and shared transport modes on earlier occasions, reinforcing the message of modesty in public life and governance.

BJP Training Program Held Alongside Visit

During the visit, CM Yadav also participated in a party training program held at Rajaram Resort, which saw the participation of around 200 party workers, including MPs, MLAs, district leaders, and organizational office bearers. The training session focused on organizational structure, public outreach, and effective implementation of government schemes. Senior leaders, including Rajya Sabha MP Bal Yogesh Umesh Nath, MLA Anil Jain, and other party representatives, were present.

Simplicity Becomes a Political Message

The Chief Minister’s bus journey has become a topic of discussion among political circles and party workers. BJP leaders described it as a strong message of austerity, public connect, and responsible governance.

Officials added that such initiatives aim to ensure that public resources are utilized efficiently and that leadership sets an example for citizens and government functionaries alike.
