Mumbai: NTPC Limited has invited engineering and management students to participate in the Mumbai Regional Round of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2026–27, scheduled to be held on September 17.
The national-level quiz initiative is aimed at encouraging knowledge, curiosity, analytical thinking and healthy competition among students. The theme for this year’s edition is “Anything and Everything from the World of Business and Management.”
Mumbai Regional Round on September 17
The Mumbai round will be held at Bharat Ratnam – Mega CFC, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone, Andheri (East).

The competition will be conducted in two stages:
- A Written Round will be held first.
- The top six teams will advance to the on-stage Multimedia Regional Finale.
- The top two teams from Mumbai will qualify for the National Level.
- Each participating team will comprise two students.
The quiz will test participants’ knowledge across different areas of business and management.
Regional Round Offers Cash Prizes
The top-performing teams in the Mumbai Regional Round will receive cash prizes.
- Winner: ₹60,000
- Runner-up: ₹40,000
- Third place: ₹20,000
- Fourth, fifth and sixth places: ₹8,000 each
Students attending the event as audience members will also have an opportunity to win audience prizes.
National-Level Prizes Up to ₹1 Lakh
Teams qualifying from the regional rounds will compete at the national level, where the winning team will receive a prize of ₹1 lakh.
The national-level prize structure includes:
- Winner: ₹1,00,000
- Second place: ₹60,000
- Third place: ₹40,000
- Other qualifying teams: Consolation prizes
Registration Free, Deadline September 15
There is no registration or participation fee for the quiz. Educational institutions can nominate multiple teams.
Interested students can register through the designated registration process or submit their details to the email address provided by NTPC.

NTPC has been organising the Electron Quiz since 2004 as part of its engagement with the student community.
The initiative provides students with opportunities to broaden their knowledge, develop analytical abilities and participate in a competitive learning environment.
