Farrukhabad: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday alleged that a “Saifai syndicate” had dominated government recruitments before 2017, while asserting that his government would not allow anyone to interfere with the employment prospects of young people.
Addressing a gathering in Farrukhabad after distributing relief material to flood-affected families, Yogi said government recruitment in the state was now being conducted without discrimination.
He said that, for the very first time, young people are securing government jobs completely free of bias or discrimination.
Yogi Targets Previous Recruitment System
Targeting the previous Samajwadi Party government, the Chief Minister alleged that recruitment processes before 2017 were controlled by what he called the “Saifai syndicate”.
“Prior to 2017, the ‘Saifai syndicate’ completely dominated government recruitments to the extent that no one could raise their voice. The youth remained mere spectators and were deprived of jobs,” Yogi said.
He further warned against attempts to influence recruitment and employment opportunities in the state.
“No one will be able to do that anymore. If anyone tries to play with your future now, the doors of prison are open for them. We will send them to jail and seize their properties,” he said.
Focus on Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship
Yogi also highlighted initiatives aimed at supporting young people and promoting employment opportunities.
The schemes and areas mentioned by the Chief Minister include:
- CM Yuva Udyami Scheme
- Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Coaching
- Employment generation through investment
- Expansion of opportunities in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector
“Investment does not merely mean setting up industries; investment means employment for youth, dignity for them, and efforts directed towards making them self-reliant and independent,” he said.
Flood Relief in Farrukhabad
The Chief Minister’s remarks came during his visit to Farrukhabad, where he distributed relief material to families affected by flooding. The Uttar Pradesh government’s information department also recorded his visit to flood-affected areas and the distribution of relief material on September 3.
Yogi assured affected families of continued government assistance and referred to relief and rehabilitation measures as well as efforts aimed at addressing recurring flood-related problems.
He also said arrangements would be made for livestock in affected areas, including:
- Fodder
- Vaccination
- Medicines
According to reports, relief was extended to families across 102 flood-affected villages, with 1,000 families receiving relief material during the Chief Minister’s visit.
Ganga Water Levels Under Watch
The visit came amid rising water levels in parts of Uttar Pradesh. In Varanasi, the Ganga was recorded at 70.54 metres at the Rajghat gauge on Thursday morning, above the warning level of 70.262 metres, according to reports.
The Chief Minister’s Farrukhabad visit combined his comments on recruitment and youth employment with an assurance of relief and support for families affected by the ongoing floods.
