PESB Recruitment 2025: Director (Technical) Vacancy Announced at Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL)

The top PSU headhunter has announced the Director (Technical) vacancy at ECL, which will arise on May 1, 2026, after Niladri Roy’s superannuation; last date to apply is November 4, 2025.

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has officially invited applications for the post of Director (Technical) in Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL). The recruitment notification was issued on Tuesday (October 14, 2025), with November 4, 2025, set as the deadline for submission of applications.

The position will become vacant on May 1, 2026, following the superannuation of the incumbent Director (Technical), Niladri Roy, who is scheduled to retire on April 31, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

According to the official advertisement, eligible candidates may apply from both the public and private sectors.

Applicants must:

  • Be qualified Mining Engineers holding a First Class Certificate of Competency under the Indian Mines Act.
  • Have at least five years of cumulative experience in the last ten years in Mining Operations or Mine Planning at a senior management level in a reputed organization.

PESB has encouraged experienced professionals with strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational skills in the mining sector to apply.

Selection Through PESB Portal

Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official PESB portal within the stipulated timeline.
