In a significant development, 95 IAS officers of Uttar Pradesh have received promotion orders as a Christmas gift. The Department of Appointments and Personnel issued these orders on Wednesday, confirming promotions effective from January 1, 2025. The promotions span various batches, including the 2000, 2009, 2010, and 2012 batches, and will soon lead to a reshuffle in postings, impacting several district magistrates and commissioners.
Promotions to Principal Secretary
Officers from the 2000 batch, including Mr. Saurabh Babu, Mr. Manish Chauhan, Mr. Ranjan Kumar, Mr. Anurag Yadav, and Mr. Ranvir Prasad, have been promoted to the Super Time Pay Scale (Rs. 1,82,200–Rs. 2,24,100). Mr. Amit Gupta and Mr. Deepak Aggarwal have also been promoted under specific conditions requiring the completion of mandatory mid-career training within two years.
Promotions to Secretary
Eighteen IAS officers from the 2009 batch have been promoted to the Super Time Pay Scale (Rs. 1,44,200–Rs. 2,18,200) and elevated to the rank of Secretary. Prominent names include Mr. Brajesh Narayan Singh, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Mr. Ramakant Pandey, Mr. Anand Kumar Singh, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, and others. Similarly, another group of 18 officers has been promoted to the same pay scale with a condition to complete mid-career training.
Selection Grade Promotions
From the 2010 batch, Mr. Bhawani Singh Khangaraut has been promoted to Selection Grade (Rs. 1,23,100–Rs. 2,15,900), with mandatory training to be completed in 2025. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Yadav from the 2011 batch has also been promoted to the same grade under similar conditions.
Promotions for 2012 Batch
Twenty-two officers from the 2012 batch, including Mr. Amit Kumar Bansal, Mr. A. Dinesh Kumar, Mr. Shiv Prasad, Ms. Renu Tiwari, Mr. Shesh Mani Pandey, and others, have been promoted to Selection Grade (Rs. 1,23,100–Rs. 2,15,900).
