New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a ₹63.81 crore work order from Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) for providing primary MPLS VPN connectivity to support the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The domestic work order, received by RailTel on October 7, 2026, will be executed over a period of five years, with completion scheduled by October 30, 2031. The company disclosed the development to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
RailTel-NCL Order: Key Details
The contract covers the provision of primary Multiprotocol Label Switching Virtual Private Network (MPLS VPN) connectivity for NCL’s ERP implementation.

- ₹164.79 crore: Work order from Western Coalfields Limited on August 20, 2026, for MPLS VPN network deployments.
Together, these orders highlight RailTel’s continued expansion across enterprise connectivity, mining-sector digital infrastructure and media technology services.
New Order Adds Recurring Enterprise Connectivity Revenue
The latest NCL contract further strengthens RailTel’s order pipeline in the core natural resources sector.
The company is increasingly expanding its enterprise connectivity business, which includes longer-term network services and recurring revenue opportunities. The NCL contract is expected to add to this portfolio while helping balance short-term fluctuations in RailTel’s project-based business.
