New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a ₹21.57 crore order from Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) for providing MPLS VPN connectivity and Telepresence as a Service (TPaaS) for high-definition video conferencing facilities.
RailTel received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from CMPDI on September 25, 2026, at 19:05. The contract will be executed over a period of five years, with completion scheduled for October 6, 2031.
RailTel Receives Letter of Acceptance from CMPDI
The order involves the provisioning of Multi-Protocol Label Switching Virtual Private Network (MPLS VPN) connectivity across different bandwidths along with Telepresence as a Service (TPaaS) for HD video conferencing facilities.
The services will be deployed across multiple CMPDI locations, including:
- CMPDI Headquarters
- Six Regional Institutes
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Data Centre
- Disaster Recovery Centre
The project is aimed at providing reliable network connectivity and high-definition video conferencing infrastructure across CMPDI’s offices and key data facilities.

RailTel CMPDI Order Worth ₹21.57 Crore
The total estimated value of the order, including taxes, is ₹21,57,48,840, or approximately ₹21.57 crore.

RailTel has also stated that there is no interest of the promoter or promoter group in CMPDI.
MPLS VPN and TPaaS Services Under the Contract
Under the contract, RailTel will provide MPLS VPN connectivity with different bandwidth requirements. MPLS VPN is used to establish secure and managed communication networks between multiple locations.
The company will also provide Telepresence as a Service (TPaaS) to support HD video conferencing facilities. This will enable CMPDI’s headquarters, regional institutes and data centres to remain connected through high-quality video communication infrastructure.
RailTel Discloses Order Under SEBI Regulations
RailTel informed the stock exchanges about the development in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.
The disclosure provides details of the order, including its value, scope, duration, nature and related-party status, as part of the company’s regulatory reporting requirements.
The company has clarified that the order is domestic in nature and does not constitute a related-party transaction.
