Ajmer: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially declared the final results of the prestigious Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Examination 2024, marking the culmination of one of the state’s most competitive recruitment processes. Candidates who appeared for the interviews—conducted until April 17, 2026—can now access their results on the official website, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.

A total of 2,391 candidates have been declared successful in the examination, with the Commission releasing the final merit list on April 18, 2026, immediately after the completion of the interview round.

Merit List Released in PDF; TSP and Non-TSP Categories Included

The Commission has published a combined merit list for the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination (Main) 2024. The result is available in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of successful candidates categorized under TSP (Tribal Sub-Plan) and Non-TSP regions.

Candidates can download the result directly from the official portal and check their qualifying status without delay.

Dinesh Bishnoi Tops RAS 2024 by Just Half a Mark

In a highly competitive finish, Dinesh Bishnoi from Barmer secured the first rank, surpassing the second rank holder by a razor-thin margin of just 0.5 marks. Notably, Bishnoi had secured the 57th rank in the previous examinationand is currently undergoing training for the Rajasthan Police Service (RPS).

The second rank was secured by Virendra Charan from Jaisalmer, who is the son of a Head Constable and currently serves as a Tehsildar.

Bhupendra Singh Scores Highest in Interview; Family Legacy Continues

Bhupendra Singh from Jodhpur, who secured the 9th rank, stood out by achieving the highest marks in the interview round (67 marks). Interestingly, his elder brother is also an RAS officer and had also secured the 9th rank in 2009, reflecting a remarkable family legacy in civil services.

Shalu Kaswa Cracks Exam in First Attempt at 23

One of the standout success stories is Shalu Kaswa (23) from Sri Ganganagar, who cleared the RAS examination in her very first attempt. Coming from a humble background—her father being a farmer and her mother a homemaker—her achievement has been widely celebrated as an inspiring example for aspirants.

Other Notable Candidates and Developments

  • Vikas from Bikaner, who secured the 5th rank, has declined to proceed further in the recruitment process.
  • The Commission released the final merit list on Saturday morning, shortly after interviews concluded.

Strong Representation from Border and Key Districts

According to Dainik Bhaskar report, this year’s results highlight significant representation from Rajasthan’s border districts:

  • 7 candidates from border areas featured in the Top 20

Representation includes:

  • 1 from Barmer
  • 2 each from Balotra and Bikaner
  • 1 each from Jaisalmer and Anupgarh

Additionally:

  • Jaipur and Jodhpur recorded the highest number of selections (3 each)
  • Tribal districts Dungarpur and Pratapgarh also saw one candidate each selected

Marks Analysis: Close Competition and Performance Trends

The RAS 2024 results underline the intense competition:

  • Dinesh Bishnoi scored the highest in written exam with 302.50 out of 800 marks
  • Virendra Charan outperformed Bishnoi in the interview by 9 marks
  • Bhupendra Singh achieved the highest interview score (67 marks)
  • The lowest interview score recorded was 26 marks

In the written exam:

  • Highest score: 302.50
  • Lowest score: 81

Interestingly, despite topping overall, Dinesh Bishnoi received only 37 marks in the interview, highlighting the decisive role of written performance.

1,096 Posts to Be Filled; State to Get New Officers

The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,096 posts, including:

  • 428 posts in State Services (RAS)
  • 668 posts in Subordinate Services

With the results declared, Rajasthan is set to welcome a new batch of administrative officers, strengthening governance across the state.

Some Results Withheld; Timeline Remarkably Fast

The Commission has withheld the results of 10 candidates:

  • 5 results kept in sealed cover
  • 3 withheld due to ongoing court cases
  • 2 withheld for undisclosed reasons

Notably, the entire recruitment process – from notification to final result – was completed in just 1 year, 7 months, and 17 days, making it one of the fastest RAS recruitment cycles in recent years.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma extended his congratulations to all successful candidates, stating:
