Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired the fourth meeting of the State Transformation Commission in Lucknow, reviewing major infrastructure, transport, and investment projects across the state. The focus of the meeting was on improving public transport connectivity ahead of the upcoming operations at Jewar International Airport and accelerating key expressway and industrial projects.
Electric Bus Push for Noida–Greater Noida–YEIDA Region
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of 500 electric buses planned for operation in Noida, Greater Noida, and the YEIDA region.
He directed officials to ensure the deployment of 110 electric buses in the first phase for smooth connectivity to Jewar International Airport. The CM stressed that public transport must be fully operational before the start of flight services scheduled from June 15.
He also emphasized rapid expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the state.
Major Boost to EV Infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh
Officials informed that Uttar Pradesh currently has around 15.5 lakh registered electric vehicles.
EV Infrastructure Updates:
- Target: 10,000 charging stations by 2030
- Operational stations: ~2,500 already active
- Expansion work underway across urban and highway corridors
The CM highlighted the importance of sustainable transport systems for future mobility needs.
Expressway Projects Reviewed, Land Acquisition to Be Fast-Tracked
CM Yogi reviewed multiple expressway projects and directed officials to complete land acquisition by the end of June.
Key projects include:
- Agra–Lucknow–Purvanchal Link Expressway
- Jewar Link Expressway
- Jhansi Link Expressway
- Farrukhabad Link Expressway (55% land acquired)
- Meerut–Haridwar Expressway (alignment approved)
He said strong connectivity will drive industrial growth, investment, and job creation across the state.
Investment Projects: CM Warns Against Delays
The Chief Minister expressed displeasure over delays in investment-related projects and instructed officials to resolve pending cases on priority.
Major updates:
- Multi-Model Logistics Hub: 301 of 323 hectares acquired
- Tender deadline extended to July 6, 2026
- Multi-Model Transport Hub: 144 of 200 hectares acquired
He directed continuous engagement with investors and faster decision-making processes.
Seed Park, Textile Park and Defence Corridor Push
CM Yogi also reviewed major industrial and innovation projects including:
- Seed Park in Lucknow (collaboration with global institutions and seed companies)
- Textile Park development
- Defence Corridor projects
- Agriculture Export Hub
- Aqua Bridge project in Unnao
He said Uttar Pradesh is being positioned as a leading state in defence manufacturing and agro-industrial development.
Model Building Bye-Laws to Speed Up Industrial Growth
The Chief Minister called the Model Building Bye-Laws a key framework for investment-friendly governance.
He instructed authorities to simplify and digitize building approval processes to ensure transparency and faster clearances for industries.
CM Orders Special Monitoring Cell for Project Review
CM Yogi announced that a special monitoring cell will be created in the Chief Minister’s Office to track all “CM Review” projects.
This step aims to ensure real-time monitoring, faster execution, and accountability in development projects across departments.
Focus on Youth Entrepreneurship and Rural Employment
The Chief Minister also reviewed the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana and directed stronger implementation to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth.
He emphasized improving human resources deployment under the State Rural Livelihood Mission to strengthen rural development programs.
Uttar Pradesh Accelerating Towards Smart Infrastructure Future
The meeting highlighted the state’s focus on integrated infrastructure development combining electric mobility, expressways, industrial parks, and investment-friendly policies.
CM Yogi said timely execution of these projects will significantly boost connectivity, economic growth, and employment opportunities across Uttar Pradesh.
