Women SHG Showcases Local Produce, Symbol of Self-Reliance
A major highlight of the event was the participation of the “Jai Maa Banjari Women Self-Help Group”, whose members presented a basket of locally produced items to the Chief Minister.
The basket included:
- Mangoes
- Rakhia Badi
- Kutki
- Chironji (Char)
- Papaya
These items reflected the region’s agricultural richness and the growing role of women in rural entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
CM Appreciates Women’s Efforts in Strengthening Rural Economy
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai appreciated the efforts of the Self-Help Group and praised their contribution to strengthening the rural economy.
He said that Self-Help Groups are becoming a strong pillar of rural development, helping women achieve financial independence while also promoting local production and traditional resources.
He encouraged the women to continue their efforts and expand their activities to further enhance income and livelihood opportunities.
Government Schemes Helping Increase Women’s Income
Members of the Self-Help Group shared that they are actively using local resources to prepare and sell products, which has led to a noticeable increase in their household income.
They also highlighted that various government schemes are providing continuous support, enabling them to scale up production and improve their financial stability.
