Bijnor: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday distributed land ownership rights certificates (Bhumidari rights) to 1,645 partition-displaced families, along with 50 ex-servicemen and leaseholders, during a grand programme held in Alampur Gaudi village of Afzalgarh block in Bijnor district.
The initiative marks a significant step toward ensuring legal ownership, dignity, and security for families displaced during the Partition era.
Land Rights for Partition-Displaced Families After Decades
The Chief Minister highlighted that families displaced during 1946–48 due to Partition violence were forced to leave their ancestral homes due to communal unrest.
He said the government’s decision will now benefit even the fourth generation of displaced families, giving them rightful ownership of land after decades of uncertainty.
According to officials, the move will also enable beneficiaries to access various government welfare schemes more effectively.

Welfare Benefits Distributed Across Multiple Schemes
During the event, CM Yogi also distributed benefits under several key government schemes, including:
- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
- Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan
- National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM)
- Self-Help Group (SHG) initiatives
Beneficiaries received sanction letters, demo cheques, and certificates as part of the distribution programme. Eleven exemplary beneficiaries were also honoured on stage.
‘Vidur Prerna Cafe’ and Development Projects Inaugurated
The Chief Minister inaugurated several development initiatives, including “Vidur Prerna Cafe”, operated by women self-help groups.
He praised the role of SHGs in promoting women empowerment and rural entrepreneurship, stating that the state government is committed to strengthening marginalized sections including women, farmers, youth, and the poor.

CM Reaffirms ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ Vision
Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi said the government is working with the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas”, ensuring development reaches the last person in society.
He urged beneficiaries to become self-reliant and make full use of government schemes to improve their standard of living.
Exhibition Review and Administrative Participation
Before the main programme, the Chief Minister visited a development exhibition set up by various departments to review ongoing welfare schemes and their progress.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including MPs, ministers, MLAs, senior administrative officials, and a large number of local residents.
Law and Order, Governance and ‘Zero Tolerance’ Policy
CM Yogi reiterated that Uttar Pradesh follows a zero-tolerance policy against crime and disorder, warning that any attempt to disturb social harmony will be dealt with strictly.
He emphasized that maintaining peace and ensuring public safety remains a top priority of his government.
Focus on Cow Protection and Cultural Values
During his address, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of cow protection, stating that cow slaughter will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He also highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of rivers and cows in Indian tradition and called for respect towards the country’s heritage and values.
Concerns Over Minorities Abroad and National Security
CM Yogi expressed concern over the situation of minorities in neighboring countries and urged national unity on issues of security and respect for armed forces.
He said that the safety of the nation and respect for soldiers remain above all other considerations.
Governance Model Based on Equality and Development
The Chief Minister said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, development schemes are being implemented without discrimination based on caste, religion, or background. He reiterated that the government’s goal is to ensure peace, prosperity, and inclusive growth across Uttar Pradesh.
