Raipur: Chhattisgarh Governor Mr. Ramen Deka flagged off six Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) supported by REC Limited under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The six Mobile Medical Units, valued at ₹7.21 crore, were flagged off at Lok Bhawan, Chhattisgarh, on August 15, 2026. The initiative aims to strengthen last-mile healthcare delivery and improve access to essential medical services for communities in underserved areas of the state.

Six Mobile Medical Units Flagged Off in Chhattisgarh

The flag-off ceremony was attended by Mr. Satyaban Sahoo, Chief Project Manager (CPM), Regional Office Raipur, REC Limited, along with officials from REC Limited and the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Chhattisgarh.

The deployment of the six MMUs is aimed at taking healthcare services closer to people who face difficulties in accessing conventional healthcare facilities.

REC Mobile Medical Units to Bridge Healthcare Gaps

The mobile medical units are designed to provide essential healthcare services directly to communities that have limited access to conventional healthcare facilities. By taking medical services closer to people, the initiative seeks to address existing healthcare gaps across underserved areas of Chhattisgarh.
