FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
This is for the first time in history that a band with members serving in the police service accomplished such a feat, and that too on national television. Not only the judges but the viewers also were surprised when they made an entry on this reality show. Their journey, which started with a standing ovation from the judges, has now reached to a point where not only their state but people from all around the world have become their fans.
A DREAM COME TRUE
Mr. Vijay Sharma said, “We are proud that we are the only ones in the country who represented ‘khaki’ at such a huge platform, where the show got aired in around 124 countries. Reaching the Grand Finale was in itself a win-win situation for us. The overall experience was amazing as we met so many international artists and got to learn a lot from their hard work and talent.”
The show had special guests on set who saw the performances of the talented contestants and shared some great moments with them. Celebrities like Hema Malini, Raveena Tandon, Yami Gautam, Nora Fatehi, etc. were guests on the show.
Mr. Sharma said, “It was a dream come true to see all the celebrities who we used to watch on TV. We never ever imagined that we would get the opportunity to give a rose to the dream girl herself and share such a memorable moment with Hema Malini.”
Some of the other memorable moments which the orchestra had was when Yami Gautam, who belongs to their state, spoke with the members in the native language, and Nora Fatehi shared some dance moves with them.
PEOPLE’S OVERWHELMING RESPONSE
The show ended but not before the orchestra team garnered a huge fan following. People from all around the world connected with the members on social media and shared their love for the band. All the social media handles of the orchestra have been verified and their shows in various cities have been booked.
SOCIAL MESSAGE THROUGH MUSIC
As the band members are in government service, they have some amazing plans for their future. Mr. Sharma said, “Belonging to the Himachal Pradesh Police, we will carry social messages in our music and will try to make them reach a larger audience. Topics like road transport, accidents, crime against women are some of the social issues which we will try to highlight through our music.”
The band also plans to work on Himachali folk music and present it to their fan following to popularise it among a wider audience.
