Bengaluru: Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has appointed Ankush Munjal, Vandana Agarwal and Pankaj Joshi as Part-Time Non-Official Independent Directors on its Board for a period of three years.
The appointments are effective from August 17, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointments were approved by the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production.
BDL Appoints Three New Independent Directors
The appointments were made following an Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry of Defence on August 17, 2026. BDL received the approval letter from the Administrative Ministry on August 18, 2026.
The company has informed the stock exchanges about the appointments in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Ankush Munjal is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Advocate with more than 25 years of professional experience.
His areas of expertise include:

His combined experience in financial and legal matters adds significant expertise to the BDL Board.
Vandana Agarwal Has Over 22 Years of Experience
Vandana Agarwal is a practicing Chartered Accountant with more than 22 years of professional experience.
Her areas of expertise include statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, stock audits, TDS, direct and indirect taxation including GST, accounting, MCA and corporate compliance, consulting and appeals.
Her extensive background in audit, taxation and compliance is relevant to strengthening financial oversight and regulatory practices.
Pankaj Joshi Brings 20 Years of Audit Expertise
Pankaj Joshi is a Commerce graduate from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) since 2007.
He has around 20 years of professional experience in internal and statutory audits of private-sector companies as well as public-sector banks and financial institutions.
His experience in audit and financial oversight is expected to add further professional depth to BDL’s Board.
New Appointments Strengthen Board Expertise
The appointment of the three Independent Directors adds substantial expertise in finance, taxation, audit, legal advisory, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Munjal brings combined legal and financial expertise, while Agarwal and Joshi contribute extensive experience in auditing, taxation and corporate compliance. Their professional backgrounds are expected to support the Board’s oversight and decision-making functions.
