Raipur: Narayanpur Police have taken the Cyber Jagruti Abhiyan to Boter village to educate residents about online fraud, OTP scams, social media fraud and safe digital transactions.
The initiative is aimed at helping people in remote areas understand common cybercrime tactics and protect their personal and banking information.
Cyber Safety Awareness in Boter
Police officials are informing villagers about fraud linked to mobile phones, bank accounts, OTPs and social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
Residents have been advised not to share OTPs or personal details with unknown callers, including people posing as police officers or other government officials.
The awareness campaign is being conducted through multiple channels, including phone calls and SMS, to reach people across the district.
Development Reaches Remote Areas
Narayanpur SP Sandeep Patel said improved security conditions have allowed government agencies to reach interior areas and expand development initiatives.
He said authorities are working to improve infrastructure such as roads, schools and Anganwadi centres while helping residents access essential services, including Aadhaar enrolment, bank accounts and ration cards.
Basic Services Reach Boter
Narayanpur Collector Namrata Jain said residents of remote areas such as Boter have started receiving Aadhaar cards and other essential documents.
She also said villagers received ration supplies and are now gaining better access to government schemes and basic services.
The district administration also highlighted that the national flag was hoisted for the first time at nine locations on August 15, allowing Independence Day celebrations to reach these remote areas.
Focus on Digital Inclusion and Safety
The cyber-awareness drive is significant as greater access to banking, Aadhaar-linked services and digital transactions also increases the need for awareness about online fraud.
By combining access to government services with cyber-safety education, the administration aims to help residents use digital platforms more safely and benefit from government schemes without falling victim to fraud.
