Bengaluru: BEML Limited has appointed Promila Kundara, Mr. Shankar Lal Agrawal and Mr. Karunakaran Nambiar K as Independent Directors (Non-Official Directors) on its Board.
The appointments follow a communication from the President of India, received by the company on August 18, 2026. The appointments have been made in accordance with Articles 95 and 97(1) & 97(2) of BEML’s Articles of Association.

The three appointees have joined BEML’s Board as Non-Official Independent Directors with effect from August 18, 2026.

Appointments Made by President of India
BEML received the appointment communication from the President of India on August 18, 2026.
The appointments have been made pursuant to the provisions contained in BEML’s Articles of Association, which provide for the appointment of directors to the company’s Board.
The company has subsequently informed the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited about the appointments.
Detailed Director Disclosures to Follow
BEML has stated that the information currently provided to the stock exchanges is preliminary.
The company will submit detailed disclosures required under Schedule III, Part A, Para A(7) of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 after receiving the necessary information from the newly appointed directors.
The additional disclosures will include details such as the Directors’ Identification and other information required under the applicable regulatory framework.
Board Strengthened with New Independent Directors
The appointment of three Independent Directors is expected to further strengthen BEML’s Board-level oversight and corporate governance framework.
Independent Directors play an important role in providing an objective perspective on strategic, financial and governance matters while supporting transparency and accountability within the organisation.
