Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary reviewed the progress of 11 proposed satellite township projects in a high-level meeting held at Sankalp Hall, Samarpan Bhavan in the state capital. The review focused on project status, implementation strategy, land availability, and infrastructure development.
The Chief Minister said the projects will play a crucial role in promoting employment generation, private investment, and planned urban development across Bihar.
Focus on Land Acquisition and Infrastructure Development
During the review meeting, officials from the Urban Development and Housing Department briefed the Chief Minister on the current status of all proposed township projects.
Key issues discussed included:
- Land availability for project execution
- Development of basic infrastructure
- Administrative approvals and clearances
CM Samrat Choudhary directed officials to resolve land acquisition and approval-related hurdles on priority to ensure timely completion of the projects.
Satellite Townships to Boost Jobs and Investment
The Chief Minister emphasized that the satellite townships are not just housing projects but major economic development initiatives.
He stated that these projects will:
- Generate large-scale employment opportunities
- Attract private sector investment

He also instructed departments to work in a unified manner for faster implementation.
Senior Officials Present in the Meeting
The review meeting was attended by Urban Development and Housing Minister Nitish Mishra, Chief Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Development Commissioner Mihir Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, and the Managing Director of Bihar State Housing Board along with other senior officials.
All departments were instructed to accelerate work and ensure timely completion of the satellite township projects.
