Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has carried out a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring eight IAS officers and 19 State Administrative Service (SAS) officers across various departments and districts. The General Administration Department issued the transfer orders late Tuesday night, assigning several officers to key administrative, urban development, revenue, education and district-level positions.
Among the key appointments, Suruchi Singh (IAS:2020:CG) has been posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bhilai, while Gajendra Singh Thakur (IAS:2019:CG) has been moved to the Revenue & Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department as Deputy Secretary.
Remijius Ekka Gets Additional Charge
Remijius Ekka (IAS:2011:CG), who is currently serving as Director, Urban Administration & Development, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), State Urban Development Authority.
Suruchi Singh Takes Charge as Bhilai MC Commissioner
Suruchi Singh (IAS:2020:CG), who was serving as CEO, Zila Panchayat, Rajnandgaon, has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bhilai, one of the state’s major urban local bodies.
Gajendra Singh Thakur Moved to Revenue Department
Gajendra Singh Thakur (IAS:2019:CG), currently CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari, has been transferred as Deputy Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department.
Other Important IAS Transfers
Several district-level administrative changes were also made:
- Prateek Jain (IAS:2020:CG), CEO, Zila Panchayat, Bastar, has been posted as CEO, Zila Panchayat, Korba.
- Jayant Nahata (IAS:2021:CG), CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dantewada, has been transferred as CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari.
- M. Bhargav (IAS:2023:CG), SDO (Revenue), Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, has been posted as CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dantewada.
- Tanmay Khanna (IAS:2023:CG), SDO (Revenue), Katghora, Korba, has been transferred as CEO, Zila Panchayat, Bastar.
- Durga Prasad (IAS:2023:CG), SDO (Revenue), Gharghora, Raigarh, has been posted as CEO, Zila Panchayat, Rajnandgaon.
State Administrative Service Officers Also Reshuffled
Alongside the IAS transfers, the government also transferred 19 State Administrative Service officers, assigning them to important administrative and departmental responsibilities.
Among the notable postings:
- Indrajit Barman has been assigned a new responsibility in the Department of Health Services.
- Rajiv Kumar Pandey has been posted to the Directorate of Higher Education.
- Bharti Chandrakar has been assigned to Markfed.
- Dinesh Kumar Nag has been posted to the Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation.
- Nayantara Singh Tomar has been assigned to the Directorate of Medical Education.
New CEOs for Zila Panchayats
The government has also appointed several State Service officers as Chief Executive Officers of district panchayats:
- Gokul Ram Rabte – CEO, Zila Panchayat, Mungeli.
- Ashutosh Chaturvedi – CEO, Zila Panchayat, Balrampur-Ramanujganj.
- Abhishek Kumar Gupta – CEO, Zila Panchayat, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki.
Other Important Appointments
The reshuffle also includes fresh departmental assignments for several officers.
- Prabhakar Pandey has been transferred to the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
- Shashank Pandey has been assigned a new responsibility in the Chhattisgarh Road Infrastructure Development Corporation (CGRIDC).

The transfer orders were issued by the General Administration Department late Tuesday night. The reshuffle aims to strengthen administrative efficiency across departments, urban local bodies, district panchayats, and key state institutions.
