Raipur: Under the direction of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government has taken a significant step to strengthen road infrastructure in Jashpur district.
The Public Works Department has completed the tender process for the upgradation and strengthening of the Kansabel–Bagicha road, paving the way for construction work to begin soon.
₹29 Crore Project for 39 KM Road Strengthening
The project involves the improvement of a 39-kilometre-long road stretch with an estimated cost of approximately ₹29.08 crore.
Key components of the project include:
- Road strengthening and widening
- Construction of bridges and culverts
- Improved drainage and safety infrastructure
The aim is to ensure safer and smoother transportation across the region.
Key Link for Rural Mobility and Daily Travel
The Kansabel–Bagicha road is a crucial connectivity route used daily by:
- Rural residents
- Farmers
- Students
- Traders
Over time, the road had deteriorated, causing travel difficulties. The new upgrade is expected to significantly improve commuting conditions.
