Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Bhim Nagar locality in Bhopal on Sunday as part of the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan”, engaging directly with residents, reviewing welfare schemes on the ground, and celebrating academic excellence in the community. The visit stood out for its simplicity and symbolism, as the Chief Minister chose to travel in an electric vehicle (EV) instead of his usual convoy.
CM Travels by Electric Vehicle to Promote Clean Mobility
In a strong message supporting environmental sustainability, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav used an electric two-wheeler to reach the narrow lanes of Bhim Nagar. He wore a helmet during the ride, and MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani accompanied him on the vehicle.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of reducing fuel consumption amid the global energy crisis and encouraged citizens to adopt electric vehicles. He also emphasized that EVs play a crucial role in environmental protection and sustainable development.
He noted that his administration has already taken steps to reduce the official convoy and incorporate electric vehicles into government mobility systems.

During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted directly with local residents, listened to their concerns, and gathered feedback on government welfare schemes. People in the area shared their expectations and issues openly, making the engagement more participatory.

A key highlight of the visit was CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s interaction with Chandni Vishwakarma, a top performer in the Madhya Pradesh Board Class 12 examinations. The Chief Minister visited her home in Bhim Nagar, congratulated her, and honoured her for her academic success.
He also met Chandni’s family, took a selfie with them, and extended best wishes for her bright future. The CM praised her achievement as highly inspirational for students across the state.
He said that poverty or difficult circumstances can never become a barrier when determination and hard work are strong. Chandni’s success, he added, is a model of perseverance and dedication for millions of students.
Government Support and Assurance for the Student
During the interaction, CM Dr. Yadav assured full government support for Chandni Vishwakarma. He stated that all eligible government schemes would be extended to her to ensure that financial hardship does not hinder her education or future opportunities.
