Who is Lt General Dhiraj Seth
Lieutenant General Seth was born into an illustrious military family on May 6, 1966, and spent his upbringing moving across various army cantonments. His family hails from their native ancestral roots in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, which is the birthplace of his father, the highly distinguished retired three-star general and former state governor, Lt Gen Krishna Mohan Seth.
Following in his father’s footsteps, he joined the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla as part of the Foxtrot Squadron, before passing out from the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
He was commissioned into the elite 2nd Lancers (Gardner’s Horse) regiment of the Indian Army’s Armoured Corps on December 20, 1986, as part of the December 1986 commissioning batch
