New Delhi: Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has contributed ₹50 lakh to the Palamu Tiger Conservation Foundation to support wildlife conservation and biodiversity protection initiatives at the Palamu Tiger Reserve in Jharkhand.
The cheque was handed over by Arbind Kumar Thakur, Senior General Manager (Mining) and Head of Project, DVC Tubed Coal Mines, Latehar.
Support for Conservation Programs in Palamu Tiger Reserve
The contribution was formally received by senior forest officials, including the Chief Conservator of Forests and Field Director, along with the Deputy Director of the reserve.
The funds will be used to strengthen key conservation activities such as:
- Wildlife protection and monitoring
- Habitat restoration and management
- Anti-poaching operations
- Eco-development and community engagement programs
These efforts aim to enhance long-term ecological sustainability in the reserve.
